Leisure and Relaxation

The town is also known as one of the most bicycle friendly communities in Ontario. With 90 kilometers and a growing system of bicycle trails, cycling is an accessible and safe option for getting around town. Ajax also boasts of the largest waterfront parkland in the Greater Toronto Area. This beautiful unspoiled parkland attraction runs six kilometers along the shores of Lake Ontario and forms the city’s southern border.

Ajax is a great place to live in for people who enjoy the game of golf. The town has five golf courses with varying degrees of difficulty to spend your leisure time at or, if you’re a businessman, to entertain your clients. Ajax is also home to Ajax Downs, where horse racing fans can watch and bet on the exciting sport of Quarter Horse racing.

A Place to Settle In

Ajax has seen a boom in housing over the past several years with a wide range of residential homes from single family dwellings to apartments/condos being developed. Part of the growth of Ajax is attributed to the influx of people looking for more affordable housing, which is more available in the city compared to Toronto.

Downtown Ajax is currently being improved with the addition of a new 30,000-square foot Central Library that is being built next to the Ajax Town Hall. Additionally, a new Civic Square is planned to be built next to the new library.

If you are looking for a great place to live in for you and your family, buying a new home in Ajax could be the perfect move.
